St. Ives Eye Stress Gel

Good Makeup starts with Good Skin.

While a lot of us are too busy catching up with the fresh releases of makeup manufacturers, Im pretty sure some are also guilty of overlooking the significance of spending money on skincare products, I admit I used to skip moisturizers and eye creams before and my mom would always get mad when she sees that some of my skincare products are just sitting in my beauty shelves untouched months after we bought them, some even ended up in the trash bin, expired even they were still full to the brim.

Its was too late when I realized my carelessness has taken its toll on me. I used to have combination skin -- Generally oily with areas that are dry and patchy. Plus I also had occassional breakouts. And I learned that poor hydration causes my skin to be that way. If you love wearing makeup, it is important that you re-hydrate and re-nourish your skin at the end of the day after cleansing. At night, during our sleep, thats the only chance that our skin can breathe and regenerate thats why night creams and eye creams are important.

Im sure you guys know the drill, so enough with my lecture LOL! Ill proceed to the product that became my HG eye gel -- St. Ives Eye Stress Gel.

Another Exclusive Gift from CHANEL

Whats up, Beauties? :)

Today Im gonna share another gift I got, and its from CHANEL. :)

Its so pretty and it reminds me of Guerlain's Blush G Serie Noire except that this one is much cooler since it has cooler pink tones while Blush G has strong warm peach-orangey tones.

I wont make this Intro long since Im so excited to share how pretty this blush is.

♥♥♥ Stickers and Mini Stationeries ♥♥♥

Warning : Kiddie Stuff ahead. LOL! Here's my take on enjoying life's simple pleasures. :) This is the second serving of my kiddo, babaw moments. (Read first part HERE)

****

One thing I miss about living in the states is being able to go thru thrift stores and flea markets, you get to score really nice stuff at rock bottom prices, the stuff are most of the time better than the stuff you would find in malls, thats the reason why Im not ashamed of admitting the fact that I love going to ukay-ukays (thats how us Filipinos call thrift shops/flea markets), when most ukay-ukay goers dig thru loads of clothes, bags and all, while Im always busy digging thru the trinkets and other little stuff in the kiddie section (oh yes Im a kid at heart). And my mom can attest to this, my eyes light up (like a kid given his new toy) whenever I see tiny trinkets that catch my fancy.

Every weekend, my parents and I pay Tagaytay a visit -- for the benefit of those who live in other countries, Tagaytay is one of the tourist destinations here in the Philippines, make sure you pay a visit once you decide to fly to the Phils. :) Going back to my little story, after dropping by the construction site of our Tagaytay Resthouse, we decided to drive around Tagaytay to search for home stuff that we can buy, until we passed by this Japanese Ukayukay place somewhere along the road that leads to Paseo de Santa Rosa. My mom asked the driver to pull over coz she wants to visit the little store that sells Country Home decors, and because I saw the words Japanese and Surplus a few meters away from the store my mom was checking out, I decided to get out of the car and check what they have there.

As usual, I dug through the trinket section and was happy to find several packets of mini japanese stationeries and stickers in different prints, lucky me!  Decided to get all of them, of course. LOL!

Giorgio Armani Lasting Silk UV Foundation

Im glad my EQ's pretty high these days that I tend to get testers first before buying full size beauty products. I just realized that I dont wanna risk wasting moolah on products that would just cause me to breakout.

Just when I thought I was happy with my Parure and Lingerie De Peau Foundies from Guerlain, I met Giorgio. Gastos nanaman. Har!

Thanks to Chel (MalditaMD) I was able to give GA Lasting another run before I finally concluded that its not the real culprit of why I broke out before. Its that sucky little skincare thing that promised to make my skin look better but did the opposite. Argh.

Nuff with my ranting, lets go back to the actual product review.. ^_^

My Top 5 + How To Apply Cheekstains

Cheekstains are my go-to product on lazy days when I want my makeup to last the whole day without needing to retouch after a couple of hours or on days that I know I wouldnt have time for a retouch.

With this post, Im also gonna share a few of the things you need to know on how to apply or how to use cheektints or cheekstains.

Benefit Cosmetics Soon To Open In Makati

Im a HUGE fan of this brand, its actually the first brand of makeup that ive tried and got me hooked.

They have really nice products and a lot of Filipinas are wishing really hard to have Benefit Counters/Stores in our country.

Well I guess they heard our prayers coz theyd soon be opening a store somewhere in Makati Im guessing it would be somewhere around Greenbelt, not sure though if it would be just a kiosk or a standalone store for walk-ins.

Catch Benefit Cosmetics Philippines on Facebook

And lets join them as they count down the days till their store opening.
I already have a list of products that I wanna check out. :)

I still have one more wish though, I hope their prices are not sky-high. LOL!

I hope that having Benefit Cosmetics accessible for everyone would decrease the sales of those that circulate fake Benefit stuff in the market.

Now Im wondering, how long do we have to wait until they decide to open a branch of Sephora here in the Philippines? That would be so much fun for me and sorrow for my wallet. Rawr!!!

Do you have any idea where the Benefit store would be located and when the opening would be? Share! :)

Be Blessed, Beauties!

Giorgio Armani Face Fabric

This has been a lazy weekend -- blame my hormones and blame PMS. LOL!

Was pretty busy the past week so it took me a while to make a review for my Giorgio Armani Foundies.

Mom got 3 variants of GA foundies and I was able to ask for samples for GA Lasting and Face Fabric, I used it together with something else that caused me to breakout and I wanna slap myself for blaming GA. LOL!

I rediscovered how nice they were when Chel (MalditaMD) sent me a sample of GA Lasting,  tried the foundie again and I fell in love with the finish.

To make the long story short, I immediately got a bottle of GA Lasting and a tube of Face Fabric for myself.

So, what is Face Fabric?

*description taken from the Giorgio Armani page*

“Fabric is the reason for my success.”

Giorgio Armani translates his skills in texture and layering into its unique range of cosmetic textiles, a wardrobe for face. Face fabric is an invisible makeup with a 3D Micro-fil technology.

Its unique Micro-fil™ formulations bring lightness and fluidity to makeup, allowing infinite blending and layering to enhance the natural glow of the skin.

A subtle, neutral palette is accented with two shades - porcelain and apricot - to be used alone to create a healthy-looking glow, combined with any of the shades to boost the color, or alone to sculpt or highlight the complexion. For normal to oily skin, providing sheer coverage.

CEW 2009 Face Product Prestige Award Winner.
Cosmetic Executive Women Beauty Award Winner.

Im loving sheer foundies lately and so far, GA Face Fabric is one of the best sheer foundies Ive tried.

Whats Inside My Ginormous Makeup Bag

Whats up, Lovelies?

Im feeling under the weather these past few days which hindered me from updating my blog. I was able to check my blogger account just this afternoon and found that I was tagged by Raine of Lil Ole Moi  in her WIMMK (whats in my makeup kit) post. I got excited because its the first time that Im gonna do a post showing the stuff I have in my Ginormous Makeup Kit.

Now you're wondering why I call it Ginormous, its because it weighs a little less than 2 kilos. Seriously. And Ill never get tired carrying it around since it has everything I need if in case I feel like redoing my makeup in the middle of the day.

Some items in this post will be marked with an asterisk - *, which indicates that the item is a staple in my makeup kit, all the other items are changed depending on which shades/colors I want to use for that day.

So, here's what I have in my makeup kit. Enjoy! :)

My Top 10 Favorites For The Month Of July

I was tagged by Kat (Thank You, Gorgeous!) of The Skin Specialist's Haven yesterday when she made her Top 10 post. Was so giddy since this is my first post holding the stuff that I currently love. It was easy for me to choose my Top 10 since Ive been sticking with just a few beauty products lately since I wanna maintain the current state of my skin (the best since X years! Rawr!).

So here are my current faves

My skin's sensitive and acne-prone, and because of that, I understood the significance of having a good canvas for applying make up.
