I was supposed to review Giorgio Armani Lasting Silk Foundie today but since something not-so-good happened last night, so I decided to review Lush Colour Supplement first. :D
Curious about what happened last night?
One of my dogs ( I have no idea who but I have an inkling that its Aiko since I found it in her bed) chewed on the pot of my Lush Colour Supplement, no major damage though, the sticker labels just came off and it got me kinda upset since I havent even used it yet. Argh.
I was about to roadtest it last night when I couldnt find it anywhere, so I decided to dig thru the doggie beds I have in my room, I was right, I found my poor Lush pot there. Stickers were already off except for the one in the pot's cover. It mustve fallen off my dresser when I was fixing my stuff.
My Lush Colour Supplement Pot was murdered. LOL!
So Im borrowing some of Musings of A Muse's photos for Lush Colour Supplement.
I can only salvage 1 photo which I took from my Haul Post :
I got the Light Yellow variant.
The product comes in a 20gram glass pot. Some would say the pot is kinda small, but I honestly think the size is just right, since you only need a small amount for each use.
The formula I would say is a Gel - Cream Hybrid.
It has a thick, creamy consistency.
Pigmentation is quite good. Shades are limited but would suit most skintones.
Water based so it leaves a non-greasy canvas which helps foundies adhere more.
It bears a mild makeup-ish scent thats not bothersome.
Needs to be blended quickly since it dries pretty fast.
I bought the Light Yellow variant even if Light Pink also suits my skintone since I felt that it was a safer choice since I have strong yellow undertones. But after walking out the Lush Store, I noticed there werent much difference between Light Pink and Light yellow when blended.
Its available in 4 shades :
When I googled for stock photos, I found a photo of the 5th shade (Porcelain) that isnt available locally, I guess.
Fresh Rose Petal Infusion, Soya Oil, Titainium Dioxide, Rice Bran Oil, Stearic Acid, Talc, Glycerine, Triethanolamine, Cetearyl Alcohol, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Plus a few water-based pigments that vary for each shade.
Lush Colour Supplement can be used on its own for more coverage.
It can also be used as a makeup base, it does make a great makeup primer since it evens out the skintone and makes foundies adhere more. Its great in controlling oilies as well.
Product can also be mixed with :
a ) Moisturizer - to create your own tinted moisturizer.
b) Foundation - to adjust the foundie shade to suit your skintone perfectly.
c) Bronzer - to lighten/soften the color
d) Luminizing Cream - to soften the shimmer to give a perfect dewy look.
I cant really say how long it stays on my face, but it does control oilies, it also makes my foundie wear longer.
Im usually allergic to natural products but this one didnt make my face itch. No breakouts as well. :)
I wouldnt say its back-up worthy since the life span of this is shorter than other foundies out there. But this product will definitely be a staple in my makeup kit.
From the manufacturing date, the item is best used within a year.

I usually skip checking our Lush Stores because I find the smell of their store too overpowering that I end up sneezing moments after entering it.
Their Mall of Asia outlet is different though, the smell is kinda toned down, smells good but not too strong that would trigger my migraine and rhinitis attack.
I wanna try their lip tints next time, but Im kinda hesitant because of the wet chalk-ish consistency, Im not sure if anyone could relate but I think the reddish liptint would be nice when used as a cream blush rather than a lip tint since I think it would be too drying.
Anyone who can shed some light to this? :)

I have this one too, in dark yellow. I mix it with my leyende or jason moisturizer. Works well for me.
ReplyDeleteomg!!!I NEVER KNEW THIS!!!thank u!!i can still apply my foundation after this??really??
ReplyDelete@traciethediva :
ReplyDeleteI knew it, the liptints look drying because of the playdoh-ish texture. :D
im gonna have to do an FOTD once i get my hubby's approval hahaha! :D
@thirdworldfashion : yes you may since this is a makeup base, but when used alone, the coverage is quite good as well, on days you want light coverage, you can use it alone, but if you want heavier coverage, you can use your favorite foundie after applying this product. :)
ReplyDeletemake sure lush is completely dry though before putting foundie on top to avoid pilling. :)
